Oh my God - I just lost my spouse of eleven years - and your posts resonate so much and are so beautiful and appropriate I am lost for words. My angel suffered differently than Michael, and I suffer differently than you, but the human condition is universal. We love, we give, we share, we lose, and we grieve. As gay men, we are expected to either grieve differently or not at all - it's not that different in 2013 than it was in 2009. Thank you, Dan, for your posts - they have helped me immensely in a time of deep sorrow, introspection, and I hope renewal.
